Senior Photos Frequently asked Questions

Hey seniors, do you have questions about senior photos? Chances are you've never put any thought into getting photos taken to commemorate your last year of high school or your parents are pushing you to get photos taken. Maybe you had siblings or friends get photos done and have been waiting for your chance to shine. Whatever your situation, I wanted to take a moment to answer some frequently asked questions I get when it comes to your senior photos!

1). What Should I Wear

When it comes to choosing your outfit(s), you want to take into account what season you're having your photos taken in and where you're having your photos taken at. For example, vibrant colors look nice at a beachy setting or in the summer months, but will greatly contrast with the colors of the trees in the fall months.

I recommend choosing an outfit within one of these color schemes based on the season in which you are getting photos taken:

2). How Many Outfits Should I bring

I recommend bringing no more than 1-2 outfits. One dressy outfit and one casual outfit. As I mentioned in the previous question, please be mindful when choosing what color of outfit to wear and keep both options within the color scheme.

3). Can I bring props

Yes! Props are welcome to help showcase your high school years! Feel free to bring something that represents your favorite high school moments or something meaningful to you.

4). Are Pets Welcome

Yes pets are welcome, I just ask that you let me know ahead of time if you plan on bringing them as some locations do not allow pets. I also require that they remain on a leash the entire session, to avoid losing them.

5). Can I still get Senior Photos Taken if I Attend School Online

Absolutely! Senior photos exist to commemorate your final year of high school, no matter how that looked for you. Whether in person or online, lets celebrate!

6). What happens if it rains on my Session Date

I will be watching the weather in the days leading up to your session. If there appears to be inclement weather that day, I will reach out a few days in advance to formulate a plan. Whether that be postponing a couple hours or rescheduling for a new day, we will work together to figure out something that works best for the both of us.

7). When Should I Book my Senior Photos

I recommend booking your senior photos 2+ weeks in advance. You can start booking as early as the summer before your senior year. Autumn months are the busiest, so if you're wanting photos in September through November, I recommend booking 1 to 2 months in advance.

8). Are you Available on the Weekends

Yes I accept bookings on the weekends! Unlike a lot of photographers in the area, most of my availability is on the weekends. This may change in the future.

9). When Will I Receive my Photos

You should receive an email with a link to access and download your photos within 1 to 2 weeks of your session. This time may change depending on session demand during the given season, but you will be informed ahead of time if photo delivery is expected to be any longer than 2 weeks.
